Article — Ten members of the
M&M Timberjacks and the entire offensive line have been honored with
All-Wisconsin State Football League laurels. Five Timberjacks and the
offensive line earned first team honors, and seven players were named to
the second team.
Joel Wortner earned first-team honors as a defensive
end and was also named as the secondteam tight end. Randy
Hoheneder, the leading rusher in the WSFL, was named the top running
back, Willie Cornelius is a first-team selection at defensive tackle and
Rob LaCrosse was named to the first team secondary. Dale Svoboda,
Ryan DeLaurelle, Derek Techmeier, John Williquette, Mark Menor, Jesse
Yoder, Adam Buyarski and Aaron Hodgins all played significant rolls in
the offensive line for the Timberjacks this season, according to coach
Joe Plautz. Dan Ries (fullback), Zak Shutte (receiver), Neal
Weddel (defensive tackle), James Ahrndt (linebacker), Drew Buyarski
(safety) and punter/kicker Matt DeGrand joined Wortner on the second
team.
The Timberjacks advanced to the WSFL title game before
losing to defending champion Fox Valley Force. Force quarterback Gary
Griffin, defensive tackle Rick Novacheck, safety/punt returner Travis
Fischer, Punter Travis Rogers, kicker Jason Borchardt, and special teams
defensive player Jake Ricker were also named to the first team. Fullback
Nathaniel Muckerheid, tight end.kick returner Jamil Moore, linebackers
Robert McNitt and Josh Bardon and safety Dustin Soerens of the Oostburg
Rebels, receiver Matt Gautier and defensive end Brian Oudenhoven of the
Bay Area Vipers, receiver Jeremy Lambie of the West Bend Junkyard Dogs
and Paul Survis of the Saukville Demons were also named to he first
team.
